Located in a former church dating back to 1871, Linton Collection - Blackfriars Lofts has well-equipped accommodations in Edinburgh boasting free WiFi. We are nestled close to the market town of Tavistock and just over the border from Cornwall’s ancient capital Launceston. We have moorland on our doorstep and the coast is nearby. Our location makes us an ideal base for touring much of the southwest, or if you are passing through on your way to or from Cornwall and the Scilly Isles.

We have ten bedrooms at Lifton Hall. Each has its own character and charm.

There are nine doubles and one twin. All our rooms have an en-suite shower or bathroom. As well as the usual hot drink making facilities and a phone; each room has a digital, flat-screen TV and all our rooms have free WiFi.

Food is an essential part of the Lifton Hall experience, whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try our award winning Sunday Roast. Always leave room for a dessert.

We serve freshly prepared and locally sourced, quality meals – with something to suit every taste and appetite. It’s good, honest food and we make most of items we serve, here on the premises.

We have an excellent butcher and fishmonger, and a great supply of fresh fruit and vegetables across all seasons.

If you are thinking of celebrating your birthday party, a child’s christening or just fancy having a ‘bit of a bash’ – we may be just what you are looking for. Lifton Hall is a great place to hold your party.

The layout of our bar, dining room and lounge allows us to accommodate parties of varying sizes. By using all areas we can cater for parties up to about 100 people (or so), but are equally comfortable with smaller groups using one area only.

For summer parties our dining room has French doors that open out onto the patio, where your guests can sip their drinks in the warm evening air.

We serve our afternoon tea Monday to Saturday, between 2.30 and 4.30pm. Your visit has to be booked in advance, but if you call in the morning we can usually fit you in for that day. Now also available to takeaway.
